Keiser University COVID-19 Emergency Fund for Students

As COVID-19 continues to disrupt normal life across the world, never has the importance of the work of Keiser University been drawn into sharper focus. KU’s Chancellor, Dr. Arthur Keiser, notes, What we do every day matters, and it matters more now than ever before. To that end, we need your help.

Keiser University’s strength in educating healthcare professionals, coupled with its presence in almost every major Florida metro area, means the University is in a unique position to provide human resources so desperately needed.

Keiser instituted procedures to ensure students continue their academic progress even when physical campuses are closed. KU’s proactive work means that thousands of nurses and other allied health professionals will graduate in just a few short weeks – trained healthcare workers  who will immediately make a positive impact in their communities.

In an inspiring message to KU faculty and staff, Dr. Keiser said:

In more than 100 years, there has never been a greater or more urgent call to action for medical professionals than the one COVID-19 provides. Our graduates will be the front-line health professionals responsible for supporting and caring for the ailing. Our faculty members will be the practitioners and academic experts who will train our states’ and communities’ health professionals to not only deal with the pandemic, but to ensure the pandemic never impacts our families again. Our administrators are going to be post-secondary and community leaders who provide a system and a structure that supports the allied-health professions with employees in the health industry’s time of greatest need.

While KU is proud to serve as a state resource, as a non-profit university we receive no direct state or federal subsidies. Serving students and families who are most directly affected by the sudden and unforeseen halting of the US economy, KU must help students in order to keep our promise to Florida communities.
